Survivors’ Stories

Trigger warning

Ally’s Story (Reunification Camps)

“Reunification Camps” are “re-education” child internment camps developed and created by Gardner’s colleague with the CRC, Richard A. Warshak and Randy Rand who currently runs the facility called “Family Bridges.” It’s cost?— $40,000-$70,000 for four days.

The purported solution to the junk science of parental alienation is “reunification therapy.” These highly traumatizing for-profit camps became the lucrative venue for this shocking “solution” leading many children to become suicidal, run away, and even require psychiatric inpatient care from the coercive experience.

Read a study on Reunification Camps, here. (Silberg & Dallam (2016).).

Addyson’s Story.

(Trigger Warning) Addyson Bender, a child sexual abuse victim whose mother was falsely accused of "parental alienation" by the family court system, testifies at a press conference to speak out against the unconstitutional gender-biased use of the junk science of parental alienation.

On harmful “Reunification Camps” by youth survivor and advocate, Ally Camp, from @cjeyouthspeak. In particular, “Family Bridges” operates under the guise of “education” but is based upon harmful “reunification therapy” (founded on the junk science of parental alienation invented by pedophile supporter, Richard A. Gardner). (Reposted with permission from the creator, Ally Camp.)

Survivor mom Kellie Elliott testifies against shared custody laws of Ohio for very good reasons.

Kellie’s Story.

(Trigger Warning) Protective mothers who report domestic violence or intrafamilial child sexual abuse committed by fathers have their custody removed without due process, then forced to pay their abusers child support. This is the result of a national campaign led by the Children’s Rights Council (“CRC”) founded by Maryland attorney and proponent of the widely-discredited “parental alienation” theory, David L. Levy.

The CRC was a strategically formed front for a Fundamentalist fathers’ rights group with a mission to prevent divorce at all costs, even in cases of family abuse or intrafamilial child sexual abuse, by ensuring father-controlled statutory custodial power, because if you control the child, you control the mother.

Another effect of the CRC was their lobby efforts for custody law changes to enforce the "presumption" of joint custody, the precursor to "equal/shared parenting." Here are the effects as told by Kellie.
